Tools I Actually Use in My Part-Time Trading
The reality of part-time trading is that tools should support focus, not create clutter. Most “popular” software adds noise, not clarity.
Charting Platform
I use one main charting platform for all my analysis. It is stable, lightweight, and familiar. No flashy features, no constant updates, no distraction.
Order Execution
Execution happens on a single platform I trust. Speed is not the priority; reliability and accuracy are. This ensures I don’t lose focus juggling multiple accounts or apps.
Note-Taking
I keep a simple, plain text or lightweight note app for marking levels, ideas, and reflections. Everything else — screenshots, annotations, complex journals — is unnecessary for my workflow.
Alerts and Notifications
Minimal notifications only. Anything that demands constant attention distracts from the workflow. Alerts are strictly related to high-probability setups defined in my plan.
Why Less is More
Each tool I use has a clear purpose. Anything else is filtered out. The fewer tools I need to manage, the more mental bandwidth I preserve.
